book store For Your Reading Pleasure
E-books in your life

E-Books are making a big impact in the way we read, write and use books. There is nothing holding back an expert with years of experience on a particular field to write about all the ins and outs, trade secrets, strengths and weaknesses of the industry.

Consider Colm Dillon, the author of "Unique Real Estate Development Method!" (http://business.marc8.com/ebook-info.php/name/unique_real_estate_development_method/toc_id/6-0-2-8/). He has 30 years and $1.2 Billion worth of professional real estate development experience. Dillon wrote his book purely from experience and practical usage. His eBook is now selling in 63 countries and directly available on the Internet.

More and more shoppers are now buying books online. If you purchase a physical book that you have been dying to get your hands on you still have to wait for shipping and delivery before you can start reading. With E-Books you get instant delivery 24x7. No more waiting and watching the clock. While the inspiration and interest is hot, you get to download your favorite business book and start reading away.

Imagine, discovering an E-Book called Business Plans (http://business.marc8.com/ebook-info.php/name/business_plans/toc_id/1-0-1-6/) at 11.30 pm, decided to buy and download the book at 12.05 am, finished reading it by 2.00 am. The 10 oclock meeting next morning, and you are already a guru on Business Plans and opportunities to lead you company to new frontiers.

And that E-Book is very easy to share with your spouse or friend, just email it. The E-book will never wear out for millions of years to come. Hundreds of thousands of E-Books can be carried in the palm of your hand no matter where you go in a flash-drive or portable disk.

E-Books are the new media for traditional physical books, but are E-Books here to stay? Consider Joe Vitale, author of numerous successful E-Books and more recently famous for "Attractor Factor" (http://business.marc8.com/book-info.php/name/the_attractor_factor_5_easy_steps_for_creating_wealth_or/toc_id/1-0-2-1/) which has already outsold Harry Potter as 1 bestseller twice in two weeks. E-books are carving the path for many talented authors around the world. E-books are not only here to stay but also becoming very popular.

The Ball Blue canning book is not as good as the Kerr canning book. Maybe it is a matter of taste but I found this one a bit cluttered.

Customer Review: Thanks Ro! We love it!

3 1/2 year old son loves this game. Took him a day to really get the idea of following the rules, but other than that he LOVES it! Very durable and easy to pick up and store. Great way to teach a small child how to play a game. He never gets bored with it and after a week of playing he is a really very good at playing! Great game for preschools also. Rosie O reccommended this game on her blog and we love it! Thanks Ro!

Customer Review: Everyone can play!

I have three kids - 3, 5 and 11 - and the four of us can all play and have fun with this game. It actually got competitive so we had to keep playing until everyone won! This game was recommended to me - and I'm so glad I ordered it.

Baby Einstein - On the Go - Riding, Sailing and Soaring

Baby Einstein - On the Go - Riding, Sailing and Soaring
The Baby Einstein On the Go: Riding, Sailing, Soaring DVD is a delightful introduction to the three modes of transportation - land, air and water. Baby Einstein On the Go encourages little ones' language development by tapping into their natural fascination with all things that move. Set to the music of classic compositions by Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart and Rossini specially re-orchestrated for little ears, Baby Einstein On the Go helps your little one put names to familiar objects in the world around them, including cars, boats and airplanes. Baby Einstein On the Go is interactive and fun learning experience, featuring spectacular real-world images and delightful puppet shows. Baby Einstein On the Go engages little ones by identifying and naming 24 different types of vehicles including wagons, sail boats, hang gliders and more. Baby Einstein On The Go exposes babies and toddlers to the thrill of cyclists' traveling along a curvy road, the relaxation of a lazy steamboat cruise down the Mississippi River and encourages them to cheer as a group of multi-colored hot air balloons gently rise off the ground. DVD Features: * Repeat Play * Language Tracks - English, French, and Spanish * Discovery Cards * Puppet Shows * Guess What I'm Driving? * Let's Sing Together * Baby Einstein On the Go Toy Chest Age: 1 yr +

Customer Review: AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS RECOMMENDS NO TV FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2!

The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.

- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."

- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

I believe television should be used SPARINGLY and with caution, and without any delusions of it increasing baby's intelligence. As for making them more intelligent, Dr. William Sears says, "relationships, not things, make babies smarter." The best way to make babies smarter and calmer is to carry them a lot. Slings, pouches and carriers help make this more manageable.

- Carrying babies an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying!

Babies who are frequently carried pick up verbal skills faster, and develop better core muscle strength and balance. My Listmania list "Natural Parenting for Baby's First Year" has more information on babywearing, or you can google "babywearing" or "television and baby studies" for your own research.

Crown Crafts The Original NoJo BabySling by Dr. Sears - Black Chambray is a great starter sling.

Finally, I'd suggest "SIGNING TIME" videos - not to be confused with "Baby Signing Time" - as a last resort for OCCASIONAL viewing instead of other baby videos because at least baby can learn sign language. Communicating in sign language is proven to:

- reduce frustration and tantrums

- accelerate language development

- promote parent-child bonding

I found the entire series at my local library. I especially liked Signing Time! Volume 4: Family, Feelings & Fun DVD and 'naming' feelings also increases emotional intelligence in babies.

Customer Review: Fun for the Baby!

I am a grandmother who bought this one for my daughter's baby. He seems to really enjoy it! Especially the motorcycle!

Travelon Shoulder Bag - Messenger Style
Travelon Messenger-Style Shoulder Bag

Customer Review: messenger shoulder bag

this bag is ok for quick shopping but there isnt a lot of room in it for every day use for all the items i usually have in my purse, If you are like me and carry a regual wallet and a check book then this purse is full with these two items already! this is something i would use when traveling perhaps when i dont take my wallet and check book with me jjust my id and other nessecary items its very secure and safe to carry but just not practica as an every day purse for me.......

Customer Review: Too small

I loved the look and material, but it needed to be about 2 inches bigger each way. The pouch has a zipper to allow expansion, but the mouth of the opening stays the same size, kind of defeating the purpose. It was just too small for my purposes and I sent it back.

my white macbook picked up scratches in its first two days with me, even with tender treatment and without leaving the house. a cover like this one is a must. my speck cover snapped on easily and doesn't impede the computer's function in any way. fortunately i haven't dropped it (yet) so i can't speak to impact protection, but i have read several other reviews that said the speck cover protected a hard fall onto asphalt and similar surfaces.

Tully

Customer Review: Quiet, powerful family drama

Life for a father (Bob Burrus) and his two sons (Anson Mount and Glenn Fitzgerald) on their Nebraska farm is disrupted by an unexpected foreclosure notice that causes the opening of family secrets concerning the absent mother. This quiet but powerful drama has a deliberate pace that matches the long, slow summer days and nights of a rural community. Deceptively uneventful on the surface, the film seethes with repressed emotion underneath, and the end is heartbreaking. A cast of unknowns make these honest, hard-working characters into people that you could expect to meet on the street.

Customer Review: Great indie film

The slow pacing is a good match for the rural, quiet lifestyle. Characters are complex, interesting, likeable and believable. Especially enjoyed Julianne Nicholson's portrayal of Ella Smalley, a kind, honest young woman bringing some life to the lonely family dynamic of a single father raising two sons. The theme is bittersweet with a touch of hopefullness. Recommended.
