It Won't Be Soon Before Long
Global neo-soul rock superstars Maroon 5 are back with their much-anticipated sophomore album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long. The follow-up to the 10x platinum, Grammy-winning Songs About Jane will be "sexier and stronger," according to frontman Adam Levine, who looked to '80s icons such as Prince, Michael Jackson, and Talking Heads for inspiration. Recorded at home in Los Angeles with producers Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem), Mark "Spike" Stent (Bjork, Keane, Gwen Stefani), Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple), and Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Nickel Creek), the album promises to be a louder take on the pop sounds of their first effort. "It's definitely aggressive, upbeat and pounding," says Levine.

Customer Review: Love it
I love this album. This is the first time I have brought a Maroon 5 album, but I liked the second song that they were playing on the tv. I love this CD, its only 1 or 2 songs that I don't really care for, but they aren't that bad! I would recommend this to someone who likes feel good music!
Customer Review: Coaster, Straight-Edge, Pillow, Frisbee...
...these are just some of the ways you can put your Maroon 5 CD to better use. Seriously, did anyone actually listen to this album? It's all the crappy music of the 70s and 80s revisited. It's disco rehashed and reconfigured with a corny, electronically watered-down sound to accompany it. This music is AWFUL! This album would be better suited as a breakfest table. It lacks the soul and the drive and the modicum of originality of their first release. This is merely an offering of boring lyrics, hackneyed sing-songiness, and all the same chords and melodies of by-gone eras...and not even GOOD ERAS! Why the hell would a band with so much talent and potential choose to follow up a soulful debut with disco/sounds of 80's pop trash? What is wrong with this world?
The Magic School Bus - In the Rainforest
The Magic School Bus - In the Rainforest
The irresistible pull of chocolate is the catch for this lesson from the dandy kids series The Magic School Bus. The kids give a cocoa tree to their intrepid teacher Ms. Frizzle (voiced by Lily Tomlin) for an Earth Day present. When the tree yields only one bean, it's off to the rain forest to discover why. The life of a cocoa plant, including how pods, mud puddles, and bugs play a part in its development should have the little ones curious (and a bit shocked) about how the basic ingredient in chocolate comes to be. All this plus side trips to visit iguanas and other animals of the rain forest. (Ages 6 to 12) --Doug Thomas
Customer Review: Making Science Fun
This video is well done and very entertaining. Mrs. Frizzel is the science teacher we all wish we had had!! The entire Magic School Bus series makes science very exciting and fun and practical. I think I enjoy these videos as much as my daughter does!
Customer Review: The Magic School Bus- In The Rainforest
All the Magic School Bus adventures are wonderful. My grandchildren, ages 2-5, adore them and the grownups love Lilly Tomlin's voice! The stories are colorful, full of learning and adventure, and are not scary for little ones.

Customer Review: Tried to make everyone happy and failed
The filmmakers tried to make 1) an original and fresh Harry Potter size franchise for the studio, 2) a film that wouldn't offend religious viewers, 3) a film that would still promote the author's atheist/anti-church agenda.
1) Fail
2) Fail
3) Fail
The result was a watered down story that appealed to no one. It felt as though the story was on fast forward for those who'd read the (much better) novel. And, perhaps to me the strangest decision of all -- probably in an effort to succeed at number two (see above) -- they didn't include the amazingly powerful closing scene of the book.
Highlight of the film for me? Sam Elliott as Lee Scoresby. Perfect casting.
Stardust was the better film. Wish it had had Golden Compass' marketing budget.
Pass on this one.

Customer Review: Passed exam with 910
The book was not extremely useful for this exam, basically its just a recap of the materials learnt in all other exams. The book did however provide a great refresh of this information and the practice questions on the simulator included prepare you for the exam well.
Customer Review: Good summary but missing specific details
Overall this book was a great review and summary of some of the information covered on the 70-297 vendor exam. However, it was missing some specific details about material that was covered on the vendor exam. The case studies did a great job of preparing you for the type of format you will see on the exam but the content was not nearly as in-depth or challenging as on the vendor exam. IF you are looking for the quintessential book to prepare for the vendor exam, this is not it. However, as a review of major concepts it is right on.

Customer Review: The best out there, but has flaws
If there ever was a Haynes guide for a vehicle I own, I got it! I have seen the others from factory shop manuals, Chilton's, etc and they just don't match up.
I have a 2002 Dakota Quad Cab. There are two years before me and one year after me. I feel that the revisions to later model years isn't handled very well. I don't think that it justifies an entire separate manual, but it would be better if alternate diagrams/instructions were there for the later years.
In all, it didn't keep me from getting the jobs done. I would still get this manual over all others for this truck.
Raising Sand
Raising Sand
The musical collaboration of the decade, Raising Sand is the sound of two iconic figures stepping out of their respective comfort zones and letting their instincts lead them across a brave new sonic landscape. Despite hailing from distinctly different backgrounds, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant share a maverick spirit and willingness to extend the boundaries of their respective genres. This spirit, expertly honed by producer T Bone Burnett, has resulted in an album pitched three steps beyond some cosmic collision of early urban blues, spacious West Texas country, and the untapped potential of the folk-rock revolution.
Supported by the unparalleled musicianship of Marc Ribot, Dennis Crouch, Mike Seeger, Jay Bellerose, Norman Blake, Greg Leisz, Patrick Warren, and Riley Baugus, Plant and Krauss -- as both solo and harmony vocalists -- tackle an intriguing selection of songs from such tunesmiths as Tom Waits, Gene Clark, Sam Phillips, Townes Van Zandt, The Everly Broth! ers, and Mel Tillis. Raising Sand finds Robert Plant and Alison Krauss exploring popular music's elemental roots while still sounding effortlessly, breath-takingly contemporary.
The song "Killing the Blues" is featured in the new JC Penney American Living Campaign.
Customer Review: Give it a chance...you'll fall in love...
I'm a huge Alison Kraus fan. My wife bought this for me as a gift. I was terribly excited. When I listened to it the first time, I was disappointed. The second time I found a track or two that I liked a little. After listening a third time, I was hooked. This is not what you expect from either Plant or Kraus, but once you listen to it a few times, it sort of comes into its own as something very special. It'll be ranked among some of my all-time favorites.
Customer Review: The snips of songs I heard before the release really got me excited....
To make a long story short, I gave the CD to a friend of mine. There are a couple of very good songs, but most of it sounds forced, like both of them are way out of their element.

The Best book publishing Articles on WineSmart Authors With A Following Make More Money With eBooks
Once an author gets a following and becomes very popular it really makes sense to switch to writing more eBooks. Why? Well it is simple you make more money in royalties. In fact a really popular writer can make a deal to receive 75% to 85% or more on even the most popular Internet eBook Publisher or Distribution Site. Commonly eBook authors make 50% of the amount collected on the eBooks they sell on the most popular distribution sites.
Recently I was able to negotiate 65% split on my share of the royalties of my next eBook, along with free editing for spelling and sentence structure. This negotiation was able to be accomplished for a couple of reasons. First, I have now achieved semi status as a writer by becoming the Most Prolific online article writer on the Internet in the history of mankind and secondly because I am able to write on unique subjects and popular topics as a veteran in my Industry.
As a published author and online writer I have a little bit of pull in this regard and yet imagine the amount of pull for a famous writer. An extremely well-known writer could be beneficial to an online eBook distributor website. In fact if I can negotiate a 65% split due to my small contributions and having only been in business of writing for 16 months, imagine what a super star writer or author could negotiate? Consider all this in 2006.

The Swan Princess II - Escape From Castle Mountain
This straight-to-video sequel to The Swan Princess concerns the kidnapping of Prince Derek's mother, a crime that lures the prince into danger himself. Princess Odette can save him--but only if she becomes a swan herself. Even given the lesser ambitions and budgets afforded direct-to-video sequels, it's hard to accept that this boxy, unexciting movie has the same director (Richard Rich) as the fine, first feature in the series. More like a Saturday-morning cartoon than a real film, this is a disappointment, though kids who couldn't care less about scale might get caught up in the story. --Tom Keogh
Customer Review: Er...
I have to say, the last time that I watched the Swan Princess I was about seven, and I loved it - I liked Odette, though I hated her name, I liked Derek, though again, I thought his parents were probably having issues when they named THAT kid, and i even liked the story - and I was a PICKY kid. Not knowing the Swan Lake was a story in it's own right, with the same characters adn damn near the same plot, I couldn't even deplore the lack of originality displayed.
But this! Oh no!
Heaven forbid Disney come up with a sequel that is, oh, you know, GOOD. And trust me, I've watched them all. (hey, I do have a little cousin...) Mulan II - heaven help me. Aladdin II - heaven help you. Swan Princess II - heaven help the person who wrote it. Cos God knows, no one else should. I mean, quite frankly, the story line is so bad, they might as well leave the writing to Tchaikovsky. And he's dead.
Or whoever it was who wrote 'Swan Lake'.
Which is very good.
Hey, i'll give THAT a good review...
Customer Review: The Beautiful Swan returns
In the second of the three part series of "THE SWAN PRINCESS" "THE ESCAPE OF CASTLE MOUNTAIN" is a good movie, (in my opinion). Most sequals are a disapointment, but not this one, (and they keep the main cast from the 1st movie--which is a BIG PLUS). The singing is great and so are the songs, and the plot and acting is good as well. I think Queen Uberta is funny, (Do not mess with the Queen). Well, if you never seen this movie, I think you should, you will not be disapointed.

Jesse Stone: Sea Change
Jesse Stone: Sea Change
Jesse Stone: Sea Change is the fourth in the series of films starring Selleck as Jesse Stone, the former Los Angeles homicide detective who has been fired from the LAPD, left his wife and comes to Paradise, Massachusetts, to start life over again as the New England town's police chief. Co-starring William Devane (TV's Knot's Landing), Kathy Baker (Edward Scissorhands) and Sean Young (Blade Runner), this installment finds Chief Stone (Selleck) bored with what he perceives as his mundane life, struggling to keep his drinking and his obsession with beautiful women under control. Stone's restlessness gets the best of him and he re-opens a 12-year-old cold file involving the murder of a bank teller. The inquiry reveals fresh clues and Stone soon finds himself busier than ever as the unsolved case leads to another centered around an alleged rape aboard a yacht during the town's annual Race Week.
Customer Review: Another Great Jessie Stone Movie!!!!!!
We love the whole series of Tom Selleck's Jessie Stone movies. They are very unique stories. Tom's character is very intriguing and like-able. The Cinematography is really stunning. Buy them all you will love them.
Customer Review: Selleck Scores Again, in Latest 'Stone' Film!
"Jesse Stone: Sea Change", the fourth TV adaptation of Robert B. Parker's novels of the alcoholic police chief of a tiny coastal town, again offers a terrific little character study/mystery, benefiting enormously from Tom Selleck's grizzled charm and integrity in the lead.
Things are slow in Paradise, and with Stone's ex asking him to quit calling (as she is "seeing someone"), he finds himself sliding back to the bottle, alarming his friends and the City Council. Deciding to reopen an unsolved murder case from a dozen years earlier, to pass the time, his experience as an ex-L.A. cop soon offers clues that the case was mismanaged, and was far more than a simple bank hostage shooting. Then a father drags his pretty daughter in, claiming she had been raped by a contestant in the upcoming regatta, a charge that Stone is suspicious of, as the girl's behavior indicates a far different scenario. The two cases form the crux of a very interesting few days in Stone's life!
As always, the story is character-driven, with 'regulars' William Devane, Stephen McHattie, Kohl Sudduth, Vito Rezza, and Viola Davis joined by the always enjoyable Kathy Baker, assuming Davis' police job as she has a baby. With Saul Rubinek reprising his role as the money-laundering banker who hired Stone to be chief, the world-weary cop must also deal with a 'bad girl' (Sean Young, who STILL looks hot in a bikini), a 'good girl' with a secret (Rebecca Pidgeon), a crusty ex-bank guard (James Gammon), and an arrogant mobster (William Sadler), and his 'hitman' (James Rogers). And we mustn't forget Joe the Dog as Reggie, mute but reproving witness of Stone's nightly alcoholic 'fix'.
For audiences weaned on action-oriented 'Shoot-'em-Ups', the story may seem slow, but if you prefer your stories deeper than bullet counts, with well-etched characters, and Selleck's undeniable charm, the latest "Stone" film will be 100 minutes, well-spent!

Customer Review: At Last My Kindle is Complete!
I consider the Kindle's cover to be an integral part of the device, essential to its use; in fact, I don't understand how people can read an uncased Kindle without hitting buttons by accident every few seconds. So, for me, the cover is _very_ important indeed. From Day One, I had nothing but trouble with the original Kindle-cover; despite modifications and all the suggestions on the forums, my Kindle kept falling out over and over again. Indeed, it was the only thing I _didn't_ like about the product. I've only had this new one for 48 hours, but already it's proved to me that _it will hold my Kindle securely_, which is its main design function, and where the original failed.
While I respect the opinions of others, I can't imagine what more they could want or expect from a Kindle cover. It's overpriced, yes. But, that's natural enough given that there isn't much yet in the way of competition, except for sleeves that cannot be used to hold the device while reading. This is the price of early adoption-- me, I consider this product cheap at the price, considering the protection it offers which my original "droppy" cover cannot. The only thing that worries me is the comment from another buyer about the dye coming off. If I have the same problem, I'll add a postscript.
I'll also mention here that my _ideal_ Kindle cover would be a hard plastic clamshell, incorporating a built-in adjustable reading light and prop-legs to act as its own bookstand. Currently, I'm using a Bible-cover to haul around my "reading kit" containing the Kindle, stand, and seperate light. It's awkward, and unnecessary. When someone markets such an all-in-one product, I'll gladly buy it.
Customer Review: Not worth it
I just received mine and I would *not* recommend it.
First, it feels flimsy, which translates to its not so great ability to protect your $400 investment
Second, I did not see anything that would make it any easier to access the wireless/power on-off switches
Third, when opened and folded, it is uncouth, as the cover leaves a lot of space on the left, reminding me of ill fitting clothes.
Finally, the price of $39.95 is a lot for what you get. I would recommend it as a backup at 19.95 but not at 39.95.

Customer Review: Flawed design
This is the first product that I have purchased through Amazon that is flawed in its design. I saw other reviews that said it was flimsy, but I thought I could deal with their perceptions. The clamp and support structure are flimsy. The main support tubing is made as a "T" in which the two extension arms are not long enough to prevent them from sliding out of the "T" !!! If you are not handy at refining such mechanical marvels, then I suggest you look at other manufacturers for your book holder.

The Spanked book trailer debuts later this week. It was a lot of fun to shoot (and the spankings I gave and got after it!) and I’m very excited about it. Also, Spanked: Red-Cheeked Erotica is officially published! My publisher has copies and it should be shipping from Amazon any day now. If you want one right this minute, order directly from Cleis Press. Here’s a photo of me on the set, and here’s one of some of the implements we used (many paddles are from Leather Thorn Paddles).

A Featured language books Article3 Must-Read Books For Bloggers
A lot of bloggers read blogs, but there are also some very valuable books out there on blogging. The three books that I recommend for bloggers are "Blog!" by David Kline and Dan Burstein, "The Corporate Blogging Book" by Debbie Weil, and "Naked Conversations" by Shel Israel and Robert Scoble.
1. "Blog!: How the newest revolution is changing politics, business and culture" by David Kline and Dan Burstein.
This book talks of the power and influence of blogs. It uses political examples. Through these examples we can learn what good blogging is (honest, open) and what it is not (poorly written, blatant marketing). It talks about freedom of the press and countries and companies that try to suppress blogs. It also warns and gives examples of blogs that share insider or confidential information and what happens.
To quote from it: ?most people or at least most of the media?s coverage of business issues in blogging are missing the fact that the real excitement here is not how much money business can make from blogging, but how dramatically blogging will reshape the world of business from top to bottom and create new sources of competitive advantage for firms that learn how to use this new medium intelligently? Bloggers not only tend to be more passionate about their interests and hobbies than other people, they also have marketplace influence far beyond their numbers.?
This is a highly inspirational read for anyone who blogs. We live in revolutionary times and as bloggers (and blog readers) we see history being made. We are truly cutting edge. The world is changing before our eyes.
As A. J. Liebling, a great 20th century journalist, said: ?Freedom of the press is limited to those who own one.? With blogs, anyone can.
2. "The Corporate Blogging Book: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know to Get it Right" by Debbie Weil.
Debbie is one of the pioneers of corporate blogging. She is not only an advocate but she explains the pros and cons of corporate blogs.
A section from the book: "Blogs are a key enabler of this new way of talking with customers, employees, the media and other constituencies. Packaged, filtered, controlled conversation are out. Open, two-way, less-than-perfect communications with your customers and employees are in?.Listen, learn, debate, be willing to change, admit mistakes, be equals, with your children, be fair to others with whom you have an adversarial relationship. Acting like a dictator will get you nowhere."
She has top 20 questions about corporate blogging and in one of those she talks about the three most important things to know before starting blogging. The book also has good examples of blogging policies. One of her points is savvy bloggers read other blogs. My advice is the simplest way to do this is to subscribe to them.
One concept that she talks about is citizen journalist and citizen media. Blogs are a new media and it is run by the citizens. Blogger Halley Suitt explains, "The word PR will be gone; the word blog will be gone. Your employees will be your ad agency and your customers will be your back-up ad agency"
3. "Naked Coversations:How Blogs are Changing the Way Businesses Talk with Customers" by Shel Israel and Robert Scoble
This is an excellent book. I am passionate about business blogs. I truly believe they have value for a business. The book re-affirms this. "Naked Coversations" is easy to read, fast and well organized. It combines advice on blogging (and why blogs help companies) with stories of real bloggers.
Blogs have dangers but those dangers tend to be overrated. Not blogging is a greater danger. As I have said many times, blogs are a new media. Companies that ignore it do so at great peril. At the same time, blogs cannot be blatant self or company promotion - readers (and other bloggers see right through that and can decimate a company).
How do I know if a book is good? If I make a change as a result. I turned off word verification on my blog to make it easier to comment (I still review all comments and don't let spam through but am trying to make it easier to have a conversation). I get twice as many emails as comments on my blog as a result of my blog. The book drives home that comments and conversations are good.
I also know a book is good if I buy multiple copies for people that I think should read it. And in this case I did.
All three of these books, "Blog!" by David Kline and Dan Burstein, "The Corporate Blogging Book" by Debbie Weil, and "Naked Conversations" by Shel Israel and Robert Scoble should be read by anyone who has a blog or anyone interested in blogging.

Jimmy Timmy Power Hour (The Fairly Odd Parents/The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron)
Humor, mistaken identity, and massive confusion reign when Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner (The Fairly Odd Parents) inadvertently wind up in each other's worlds in this double-length episode. Timmy Turner's wish to visit the greatest laboratory in the universe lands him in Jimmy Neutron's backyard lab just as Jimmy is about to give his cyberdog Goddard a tune-up. When Jimmy accidentally teleports himself into Timmy's bedroom with a gizmo created by Timmy's Fairy Godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, Timmy interrupts Goddard's reprogramming by booting up a violent video game that severely changes the dog's disposition. Thanks to some re-stylization, friends, parents, and teachers mistake the new big-headed, bumpy, computer-animated Timmy and small-headed, spindly-armed, cel-animated Jimmy for one another. Crazy predicaments abound, including a budding romance between Cindy Vortex and Timmy and a much-awaited trip to Fairy World for Timmy's teacher, Mr. Crocker. In the end, Fairy World's very existence is threatened and a monster Goddard seems destined to destroy Retroville. Can some heartfelt wishing and a good brain blast get the two parallel dimensions back on course and put Jimmy and Timmy back in their own worlds? (Ages 6 to 10) --Tami Horiuchi
Customer Review: Children love the show
I don't get cable tv so I can monitor what my children watch. Dvds are a good way to control the kids' viewing hours. I heard that this was a good show and started with a rental. The kids liked it enough to request it. I then bought the dvd and they watch it several times/week. The animation is appealing and brightly colored. It contrasts greatly with the anime type of art, which is flat and more subtle. I would recommend this for kids and think it has repeat playability.
Customer Review: good crossover but a trilogy was completly un needed
I thought this show was good fun. Having two shows characters interact was great it was also funny and the storylines are actually very clever and well put together, and the sub story of Timmy and cindy together was great too very fun.
Why in hell would they make two more so called chapters. Nickelodeon had a special showing and they said complete trilogy. First off this isn't close to a trilogy this is no LOTR or Star Wars just going to say that but that it is obvious. There also is no connections to the first movies which is a rule for a trilogy from the scream trilogy. The only connection is the Jimmy Timmy Cindy love triangle which is interesting but doesn't count as a connection.

Customer Review: Australian perspective
Overall a well thought out book.
I found some aspects very useful for an Australian reader however, metric/ imperial matters aside, there were a number of terminology differences that made the down under trained tradesman wonder just what are you guys talking about here and there..... I'm sure we have things that we call something else which would confuse our American counterparts but a glossary might just help the overseas based (and trained electrical contractor) extract just that bit more information out of the resource.
Thanks
Pride and Prejudice - The Special Edition (A&E, 1996)
Pride and Prejudice - The Special Edition (A&E, 1996)
Jane Austen's classic novel of 1813, Pride and Prejudice, still wins the hearts of countless schoolgirls with its romantic story of Elizabeth Bennet and her Mr. Darcy. Now, the 1996 BBC miniseries is winning over adults, with its faithful adaptation, gorgeous scenery, and superb acting.
The essence of the story is the antagonism between Mr. Darcy, a wealthy single man who believes Elizabeth to be beneath him, and Elizabeth, who upon being insulted at a dance by the aloof Darcy refuses to associate with him in any manner. Austen evokes incredible tension with the wit and flirtation of the two characters, and director Simon Langton (who also directed Upstairs Downstairs) successfully translates the repartee and conflict in this six-hour miniseries. Dialogue, for the most part, is painstakingly replicated, except when fleshing out and smoothing for modern sensibilities was necessary. Darcy, for instance, is drawn out, giving his personality significantly more depth. The acting sweeps you away to Regency England: Jennifer Ehle (of Wilde) is convincing as the obstinate Elizabeth, who, despite her mother's attempts to marry her off, spurs the attentions of Darcy. And Colin Firth (of The English Patient) will have women everywhere longing for a Mr. Darcy of their own.
For those who have been on an Austen binge--enjoying such excellent adaptations as Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion--this miniseries will round out the ultimate Austen video library. For those new to these romantic period pieces, this version of Pride and Prejudice will have you hooked and longing for more. One caveat, however: plan to watch it in an entire day, because very few have the self-control to not watch all six hours in a single sitting. --Jenny Brown
Customer Review: Get the VHS tapes
I love this show. But, the DVD color ruined it. Even with the brightness all the way up, the people had black blobs on their heads instead of hair and the shadows were all pitch black and the bright colors were bluish.
Oh and I bought the special edition, in 2008, and it said it had been remastered for the best quality in picture and sound. Well, they still have some work to do!
I returned the DVD and got the tapes from Amazon marketplace. So beautiful and well worth it!! Get the tapes. There are 6 tapes and even with the hassles of the tapes I was as enchanted as I was when I first saw this on PBS and waited for a rerun!!
Customer Review: Best production of Pride & Prejudice Available
Compared to other available reproductions of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, the dialog is very accurate - which makes this a long film, but a must have for any Jane Austen lover, or for any admirer of Mr. Darcy, whom Colin Firth portrays excellently.

Customer Review: Bring on season 4
I LIKE IT!!! I won't begin to go into a write up like other gifted individuals but this is great for a 10 year old locked in a 50 yr old man. Kirk references were funny by McKay but that's about the limit on that character. I don't like his smart [...] ways but there are some episodes where he shows a more human side. Sunday just sucked as a story but the episode was performed very well. You'll know what I mean when you get there. I won't mention how attractive I think Dr Weir is..but I guess I already did. Actors/actresses did a great job in all episodes thus far and what surprised me is they're all Canadian except for the MASH guy(sorry fella). Good job aye! Found it pretty cool that the studio is in Vancouver considering I was stationed just south of there. I'm really getting stupid in this so I'll stop. Strange that I had to deploy to the Middle East to discover this series but so glad I did...discover it I mean. Had to pace myself because I was making marathon watching the norm.

Customer Review: Not what Haynes is supposed to be
In my "tinkering" days I used to buy Chilton's for light maintenance documentation and Haynes for deep mayor jobs. I have to say that the Haynes books that I used to have were the ones sold in the UK, and they were awesome. True to form and tradition, when I got my new "toy" truck (hey, midlife crisis takes many forms!) I wanted to be able to "tinker" with it (in for a penny, in for a pound!) as in my younger years so I bought the Chilton's and this. To my surprise they are both the same. I don't mean they are alike, I mean they are the same book, verbatim!. Not what Haynes used to be, the quality of the phisical book and the quality of the information inside is not what I was expecting. If you want something that will help you with the maintenance of the car, buy either one, but by all means don't buy both. Probably you should buy Chilton because they are still consistent with the kind of book they have always been.
Customer Review: Great for doing repairing your truck
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7 V8. So I fall under this catagory for this repair manual. First off, I prefer Haynes over Chilton, but then again, that's just my personal opinion. If you are someone who likes to tinker with things on your Dodge (like me) then this book is definately for you. When reading, sometimes it seems like that the guys who wrote this book were not clear on what they were doing, but after reading a few times and refering to the pictures (which are in black and white) I could get the job done.
Although this manual covers all engine types, at times the pictures might be a little different because: they can't take 5 different pictures with different vehicles. So they tend to use a general picture that best represents the repair being done. Like said before, this happens a few times in the whole book. No need to worry.
This manual covers a lot of things; if it's a big 2 day job, to even a small 15 minute job. Overall, I am very glad I got this manual. At times it can be confusing, but with a little patience and tolerance, you can do it too. This is a must for the 2002-2005 Dodge Ram owners. Always use safe repair techniques and have fun!!

The steel drum parts are really good; however, the synthesized accompaniment is over powering and really cheesy (it sounds like it should be on Barney). Please, save your money and look elsewhere.

Get Rich Quick Scams Revealed
Read this article before you consider paying for a "get rich quick" program.
From: www.dollarsearning.com
Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them.
Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered.
I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free. Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section.
In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless. The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs. They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work.
I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying!
Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any. I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below, I recommend you join quickly. Most of the owners tell me they are getting an overwhelming number of sales and plan on raising prices in the near future, so order while prices are still low!

Customer Review: Sony Reader is great
The Sony reader is a great carry on for long travel. The only thing I wish it had was a backlight to read in low lighting situations, as when you have a light on it, the glare seems to get in the way of reading it.
Otherwise, I have probably sold 10 of them because of all the inquiries I've had on planes and a cruise I was on.
Customer Review: The best thing for readers!
I received this as a Christmas gift, but was eyeing this gadget for myself since Sony announced it. I use the Reader on a daily basis for several weeks now due to my long commute time and especially was grateful to have it while waiting for flights at the airport. I did have some hesitation at first since I do enjoy the actual feel of a book. Now that I have used the Reader, I wouldn't say there is any difference, I may not feel the actual paper but it's outweighted by the convenienve.
So many pros:
-Holds many books; If I finish a book, I have many more at my fingertips and can always remove the books from my Reader and add new ones.
-Lightweight; I carry this in my purse everyday and don't even notice it. It fits into any type of bag.
-Comfortable to use; Very easy to hold and navigate one handed.
-Screen; the screen is large and easy to read. I noticed many reviews listing the screen and the lighting as a negative, and I did agree prior to getting the Reader. Now, for me, it's a positive. I stare at a computer screen for hours everyday, and my eyes get very tired. Not so with the Reader, I can read for hours and not even feel any fatigue in my eyes. The screen and lettering is dark enough that I can read extremely easily but don't have the strain of staring at a bright, white background. And as one reviewer put it, you don't have lighting with a book and no one complains, there is no difference with this.
-Storage space; since all the books are maintained on my computer or the Reader, I never have to worry about where to put the books. And the Sony store allows me to re-download any books I purchased easily.
-Free books; Sony was running a promotion of 100 free classics when I received the Reader. Now who doesn't like free stuff?
-Battery life; the battery life is better then most other gadget battery lives. I can read several books before I have to re-charge the battery.
So few cons;
-Really don't like to Sony ebook store; it takes forever for the search and for the pages to load. Really hinders the impulse purchases (bad marketing in my opinion) or if I have to run out the door.
-No outlet charger, only USB; the Reader comes only with a USB cord and can be charged via the computer. This can be really inconvenient if you are traveling without a computer (vacations). You can load as many books as you need, but if the battery runs out mid traveling, it's useless. Sony should really devise an outlet charger.
-Price; the Reader is pretty expensive, but that is the case with all new gadgets. I just hope the price goes down as the technology becomes more prevalent.
-Nor really a con, but something I would really like: Ability to be able to lump books into a favorites, genre, "read" or any other kind of list. I download a bunch of books at one time and don't always remember the names exactly when I am ready to read it. I have to scroll through several pages of books to find the one I am looking for. Would really be helpful if I was able to segregate books the I have read, by genres, or possibly authors.
I would recommend the Reader to any avid reader.
Call Me Irresponsible
Call Me Irresponsible
Melding the contemporary and the classic in ways only he can, Michael Buble has created his most complete studio effort yet. Ranging from "I've Got The World On a String" to "Me and Mrs. Jones," in addition to two new songs co-written by Michael, Call Me Irresponsible makes this album irresistible.
Customer Review: Average CD
I really enjoy Michael Buble's music alot, but this is by far his worst CD to date. I like maybe 3 songs and the rest is not really worth listening to. I am very disappointed!!!!!
Customer Review: 21st Century crooner
Buble chooses the very classic love songs familiar to the baby boomer generation. He does a terrific job with them, the interpretation and color he imparts makes you believe he understands the intent of the song writer of so long ago. Recommended to Sinatra groupies.
Beowulf (Unrated Director's Cut)
Beowulf (Unrated Director's Cut)
Spectacular animated action scenes turn the ancient epic poem Beowulf into a modern fantasy movie, while motion-capture technology transforms plump actor Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast) into a burly Nordic warrior. When a Danish kingdom is threatened by the monster Grendel (voiced and physicalized by Crispin Glover, River's Edge), Beowulf--lured by the promise of heroic glory--comes to rescue them. He succeeds, but falls prey to the seductive power of Grendel's mother, played by Angelina Jolie... and as Jolie's pneumatically animated form rises from an underground lagoon with demon-claw high heels, it becomes clear that we're leaving the original epic far, far behind. Regrettably, the motion-capture process has made only modest improvements since The Polar Express; while the characters' eyes no longer look so flat and zombie-like, their faces remain inexpressive and movements are still wooden. As a result, the most effective sequences feature wildly animated battles and the most vivid character is Grendel, whose grotesqueness ends up making him far more sympathetic than any of the mannequin-like human beings. The meant-to-be-titillating images of a naked Jolie resemble an inflatable doll more than a living, breathing woman (or succubus, as the case may be). But the fights--particularly Grendel's initial assault on the celebration hut--pop with lushly animated gore and violence. Also featuring the CGI-muffled talents of Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs), Robin Wright Penn (The Princess Bride), and John Malkovich (Dangerous Liaisons). --Bret Fetzer
Customer Review: Beouwulf
Have not watched it yet, so I can really pass on my take on the movie. I heard lots of good things about the movie from others and wanted to own it.
Customer Review: Flawed in the Re-telling
There are many good things in this movie: The actual characters from the Epic, the basic setting, the intense violence, Grendel, even Grendel's mother. However, and I admit that I am biased here,I just don't think you can re-write a mythic tale that has survived for 1000 years to satisfy a modern director's idea of a good plot.
This movie is not Beowulf, it is a movie based upon the Beowulf epic. As such, it changes the central theme of the actual epic: The war between heaven hell being fought on earth as a struggle between good and evil, man and monster. I suppose that modern ideas of heroism can not accept the mythic heroism of the epic, but I feel that those very ideas are what make the original epic a truly great story.
Taking those elements out make this movie a morality tale about a false hero reaching redemption at last. The movie reflects the cynicism of the modern era I suppose, but it loses the epic qualities of the original poem.

Rothco Vintage Paratrooper Messenger Bag - Khaki
Rothco Khaki Vintage Paratrooper Bag / Messenger Bag is a great bag for work, travel and school. Has a large main compartment and adjustable strap for comfort. Specifications: 15" X 11" X 4", hang tags
Customer Review: Great product
This is a great bag for school. I use it everyday to carry books and other things in it. Also, the three compartments on the inside makes it very easy to organize everything.
The only thing I have against the bag is that the strap is a bit too thin and it doesn't provide a lot of support if you are carrying a very heavy load.
However, other than that this is a very useful bag. Very much worth the price.

This puurchase was a very good one, if I needed another one I would purchase another one, also the service was great............THANKS....
The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream
The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream
“A government that truly represents these Americans–that truly serves these Americans–will require a different kind of politics. That politics will need to reflect our lives as they are actually lived. It won’t be pre-packaged, ready to pull off the shelf. It will have to be constructed from the best of our traditions and will have to account for the darker aspects of our past. We will need to understand just how we got to this place, this land of warring factions and tribal hatreds. And we’ll need to remind ourselves, despite all our differences, just how much we share: common hopes, common dreams, a bond that will not break.”
–from The Audacity of Hope
In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. One phrase in particular anchored itself in listeners’ minds, a reminder that for all the discord and struggle to be found in our history as a nation, we have always been guided by a dogged optimism in the future, or what Senator Obama called “the audacity of hope.”
Now, in The Audacity of Hope, Senator Obama calls for a different brand of politics–a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the “endless clash of armies” we see in congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of “our improbable experiment in democracy.” He explores those forces–from the fear of losing to the perpetual need to raise money to the power of the media–that can stifle even the best-intentioned politician. He also writes, with surprising intimacy and self-deprecating humor, about settling in as a senator, seeking to balance the demands of public service and family life, and his own deepening religious commitment.
At the heart of this book is Senator Obama’s vision of how we can move beyond our divisions to tackle concrete problems. He examines the growing economic insecurity of American families, the racial and religious tensions within the body politic, and the transnational threats–from terrorism to pandemic–that gather beyond our shores. And he grapples with the role that faith plays in a democracy–where it is vital and where it must never intrude. Underlying his stories about family, friends, members of the Senate, even the president, is a vigorous search for connection: the foundation for a radically hopeful political consensus.
A senator and a lawyer, a professor and a father, a Christian and a skeptic, and above all a student of history and human nature, Senator Obama has written a book of transforming power. Only by returning to the principles that gave birth to our Constitution, he says, can Americans repair a political process that is broken, and restore to working order a government that has fallen dangerously out of touch with millions of ordinary Americans. Those Americans are out there, he writes–“waiting for Republicans and Democrats to catch up with them.”

I loved Barack Obamas Book
I hope and pray he is our new President.
Customer Review: Its Lightwieght Fluff-A publicity piece
The previous political books I've read this year have been: "The Good Fight"-Ralph Nader and "The New American Story"-Bill Bradley. Following those two incredibly intelligent and progressive books with fluff like Obama's was disappointing to say the least.
There is very little policy or discussion in the real meat and potatoes of issues. But mostly empty feel-good-isms, pointless personal stories, and a ham fisted attempt at niceness. Its a marketing and publicity piece for his campaign and nothing more. I'll probably still vote for him, in the knowledge that the cabinet and administration a president chooses gives the office its true power. But as it stands from everything I've read by him or heard him say; he's a lightweight.
If you are looking for a book with true substance, with a serious and workable outline for change, with full details on how to accomplish it and finance it, try "The New American Story" by Bill Bradley. It has answers and workable solutions to what the nation is facing. Audacity of Hope answered no questions and made no workable solutions. I was VERY disappointed.

Resembling at times a soft-sung Robert Plant, Buckley was an intuitive vocalist capable of dizzying arabesques and choir-boy sweetness. He is joined here by a tight band for 10 tracks highlighting his stylistic range--Pearl Jam bluesy on "Eternal Life," impossibly serene on Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," art-school noisy on "So Real," Led Zep daring on "Mojo Pin." Unorthodox, this was the debut of '94. --Jeff Bateman
Customer Review: The Best
Not much to say, but a sweet soulful voice coupled with great songs. A legend.
Customer Review: Not just Hallelujah
If you have heard Buckley's definitive version of Hallelujah (apologies to John Cale) and want to buy the cd based solely on that, then please do yourself (and us) a favor and either just buy the mp3 of that track or don't bother posting a flame of a review unless you actually know something about Buckley and his musical taste.
That taste went across all types of genres and tempos and his first and only studio album had a loud alt-rock counterpoint that showed off the power of his amazing voice. He was much more than just a sweet voiced crooner with an uncanny ability to unearth little known classic songs. He could have been a great songwriter in his own right, given more time.
So if you're with the Celine Dion crowd, or prefer Plant's stuff with Allison Krause to Zeppelin, then buy this cd anyway and program these tracks into your player-
-Lilac Wine
-Hallelujah
-Lover, You Should've Come Over
-Corpus Christi Carol
-And if you're feeling really adventurous- Last Goodbye.
Then write a review and say the album is nothing but Hallelujah and a bunch of noise.
If you're musical tastes are a bit more eclectic and you can equally enjoy Nirvana, Pavement, Nina Simone, Richard Thompson, Neil Young, Cat Power and the Beasties, then listen to the whole thing and see why "Grace" is a classic and his premature death was such a tragedy.

Customer Review: I've had a good experience with Quickbooks Pro for Mac
I realize there are quite a few negative reviews here, but I have had nothing but good result from this program. My wife and I run a consulting firm and the fact that Quickbooks has a consulting firm set-up feature sold me on it. We do not need to track sales or inventory, and Quickbooks was able to make that distinction and set up our business just the way it needed to be. The Business Walkthrough is a great feature and made setting up shop very simple.
I was a little intimidated in the beginning, since I have little accounting experience. But I printed out and read the section on Consulting from the help document and everything became more clear to me. Now that I have a better grasp of the features I am much more comfortable with the program. It reminds me a lot of Quicken I use for personal finance, which helps with the comfort factor.
I downloaded the Trial first, and was able to perform all functions and even set up the company. I wanted to see if it would afford everything I needed, and it did. I would recommend people try it first, to see if it gives you everything you are looking for.
My only complaint is the update pricing, or lack there of. Intuit should offer discounts to it's loyal customers.
I would recommend this program to anyone in the consulting field due to the defined business model it can spit out. I like not having all the extra accounts and expenses I don't need to track.
Customer Review: Intuit makes Microsoft seem user friendly
The only thing worse that Quickbooks for Windows is Quickbooks for Mac. As users of both products, I agree completely with the multiple negative reviews posted earlier. Intuit's refusal to support bugs within their software is unethical. I'd say criminal, but since we all have to agree to a disclaimer that no piece of software comes with any guarantee to do anything, anytime, anywhere, there's no legal recourse.
When are the consumer protection groups going to wake up and go after software companies for their refusal to take responsibility for their products, with Intuit at the head of the line? When are we consumers going to wake up and tell our accountants to take their requirement we use Quickbooks and give us some real alternatives?
I suppose a big part of the problem is that there aren't any decent alternatives. Quickbooks seems to have killed most of them off - but you might take a look at the open source GnuCash program. Perhaps it can morph into a Quickbooks alternative.

So few cons;
Customer Review: Quality Purchase......
